Pharma body to cap prices of cigarette substitutes, seeks data

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has requested data on prices to retailers and annual turnover from companies manufacturing nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs) to establish ceiling prices. This follows the inclusion of NRTs in the National List of Essential Medicine (NLEM), 2022, and the revision of the Drugs Prices Control Order (DPCO), 2013.
