During her swearing-in ceremony, newly elected Bilaspur Mayor Puja Vidhani of BJP mistakenly pledged to uphold ‘communalism’ instead of ‘sovereignty’. She was promptly corrected and retook the oath correctly. Vidhani is the second woman to become Bilaspur’s mayor, following Vani Rao a decade ago.
