Air Canada responds after Israel replaced by ‘Palestinian territories’ on flight maps

Air Canada apologized after its in-flight maps replaced Israel with ‘Palestinian territories.’ The maps on 40 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft were deactivated, and Thales acknowledged the error. A rectified map will be installed starting March 14. Similar incidents have occurred with JetBlue, British Airways, and Swiss Airlines. Thales blamed a third-party provider.
