After Bet Dwarka, 9 illegal shrines razed in Gujarat’s Pirotan Island

Authorities in Devbhumi Dwarka district extended their demolition drive targeting illegal structures to Pirotan Island, clearing 4,000 sq ft of encroached land and demolishing nine religious structures. The operation aims to protect marine biodiversity and prevent security risks, including narcotics smuggling. In Bet Dwarka, 83 illegal structures were demolished, reclaiming land worth Rs 35 crore. The drive will continue until all encroachments are removed.
